The deadline for applications to be in is the 5th December 2011! If you need any help filling out your form feel free to ask your Eikon Youth Worker for help.

If we like your application we will ask you to go to your Eikon Youth Worker for an interview. Then we will be choosing a small selection of 2-3 people from each of the schools we work with (Fullbrook, BDB and Rodborough) to form the Youth Development Board.

YOUR COMMITTMENT IF YOU BECOME A MEMBER OF THE YOUTH DEVELOPMENT BOARD

The Youth Development Board will start in January 2012 and will run until the end of the school year. We will meet once a month after school to work on a project as well as going on a few trips which may take place after school or at the weekend.

• If you are interested in volunteering for Eikon when you leave school we can help you work towards this.
• Being a part of the Youth Development Board will look really good on your CV and give you lots to talk about in interviews.
• The time spent with the YDB can count towards your D of E voluntary hours if this is relevant.
• As the Board progresses we will keep a Development Portfolio for you so you can keep track of everything you are involved in and all of your achievements.
• You will have the opportunity to gain work experience at a well known company and go on exciting trips including the Swingbridge Canal Boat experience.
